Important Upcoming Upward Bound Information and Events

Summer Excellence Institute Orientation

Students will learn more about the schedule, guidelines, expectations, and requirements for SEI. Students will select elective courses during the meeting.
All students and a parent/guardian must attend the Orientation/Registration meeting.

Wednesday Study Sessions

As the school year nears completion, finals and classes are getting tough and sometimes, additional help is needed. If you need extra help with any classes, feel free to take advantage of the Wednesday Study Sessions. With at least 24 hours notice, we can get you a tutor with almost any subject. Wednesday Study Sessions are held at Avila University.

GPA Mania I

Students at Grandview Senior HS, Ruskin High School and Non Target will compete in a battle for a pizza party to see who will have the best GPA on April 18. The grades being used will be the progress reports coming out in 2-4 weeks.

University of Central Missouri Campus Visit (Wednesday, April 27, 1:30 PM—5:30 PM)

General Reminders
• Only official Upward Bound passes will be accepted to be excused from tutoring. They can be found in the handbook and online at www.avila.edu/UB. They must be completed and turned in before the start of tutoring.
• Work is not an excuse to miss tutoring or activities.
